North Korea Launches Barrage of Missiles Towards Sea of Japan
North Korea fired a series of at least 10 suspected short-range ballistic missiles towards the Sea of Japan, according to South Korea’s military. The missiles were launched from the Sunan area at around 6.14am local time on Thursday and travelled approximately 350km (217 miles) before landing in the sea.
Seoul condemned the missile launch as a “clear provocation” from Kim Jong-un’s regime in Pyongyang, stating it posed a serious threat to the peace and stability of the Korean Peninsula.
