Collin SWI members recently gathered at the Garden Wise garden centre in Dumfries, as reported by the Daily Record. During the meeting, Laura showcased her expertise by demonstrating how to create a planter tub with a selection of low-maintenance plants that would thrive for an extended period with minimal effort. Attendees enjoyed the informative session, followed by a delightful serving of teas and coffees. The event also included competitions, with winners announced at the end of the meeting.
In the Plate garden competition, Juliet Wood secured the top spot, followed by Hilda Winter and Anne McCall. The Quirky Condiments competition saw Margaret Riddet, Annie Henderson, and Agnes Carmichael claiming the first, second, and third places respectively. Additionally, Juliet Wood was recognised for presenting the Flower of the Month.
