UEFA Sets Ambitious Goal as Tickets Released for Women’s Euro 2025
UEFA has set a high target for ticket sales as tickets for the Women’s Euro 2025 tournament in Switzerland have gone on sale to the general public. The football governing body made approximately 250,000 tickets available for purchase, launching the sale at the Jungfraujoch pass at an altitude of 3,454 metres. The event kicked off with a match featuring women’s football legends and future stars.
In a statement, UEFA announced that a total of around 720,000 tickets will be available for the tournament. The initial release includes over 250,000 tickets for all 31 matches on a first-come, first-served basis. The cheapest tickets are priced at 25 Swiss Francs ($29.51, £22.17) each.
Of the total ticket allocation, about 120,000 tickets will be set aside for supporters of the 16 teams participating in the tournament scheduled to take place from July 2 to July 27 across seven venues in Switzerland. The draw for the tournament will be held on December 16 in Lausanne.
UEFA also highlighted that ticket holders travelling within Switzerland will enjoy free public transport during the event. Nadine Kessler, UEFA’s managing director of women’s football, expressed that the Women’s Euro 2025 tournament is not just about the matches but signifies a significant milestone in the advancement of women’s football. She stated, “Our aim is to sell all 720,000 tickets, and we encourage fans from Switzerland, Europe, and beyond to be part of history next summer.”
