Police Scotland Investigating Robbery at Scots Petrol Station
At a petrol station in South Queensferry, a robber armed with a bladed weapon threatened a staff member, sparking a police investigation. The incident took place on Friday, October 25th, around 2:15 pm at the Ferrymuir Gait area. The man entered the premises, brandished a bladed weapon, demanded money, and then fled with a small amount of cash. Fortunately, the male staff member was unharmed and did not need medical attention.
Described as being between 5ft 8ins and 5ft 10ins with a medium build, the suspect was wearing a black beanie hat with a grey trim, a grey snood covering his mouth and nose, a brown coat with fur trim collar and cuffs, blue jeans, and white trainers. Additionally, he had blue gloves with writing on the back of his left hand, carried a black backpack, and spoke with a local accent.
Detective Sergeant Martin Smith from Police Scotland commented on the incident, stating, “The staff member was understandably shocked at what happened, but thankfully uninjured.” He emphasised the importance of reviewing CCTV footage as part of the investigation, urging anyone with relevant footage to come forward to assist in the case.
