M&D’s Scotland’s Theme Park has revealed the details of its new immersive horror experience as it gears up to celebrate Darktober, a month filled with seasonal spooky activities. The attraction, named the ‘Freak Show’ and presented by Outbreak, revolves around a mysterious circus that has emerged within the depths of Scotland’s Theme Park. Speculations suggest that The Great Koringos, a hypnotist within the circus, is manipulating minds and causing audience members to vanish, adding an element of mystery and suspense to the experience.
Visitors to the attraction will be fully immersed in the narrative, becoming integral parts of the show. With a chilling outdoor setting, vibrant horror characters, and plenty of frights, this award-winning spectacle is scheduled to run on various dates and times from Friday, October 4, until Halloween. Matthew Taylor, Director of M&D’s Scotland’s Theme Park, described the horror experience as unforgettable and quite terrifying, suggesting attendees bring a friend to hold onto during the spine-chilling show.
As part of Darktober, visitors will have the opportunity to ride outdoor attractions such as The Twister, Rip Tide, Dancing Galleons, and more in the dark. A special Darktober wristband will grant unlimited access to these rides on the day of their visit. The ‘Freak Show’ is recommended for individuals aged 15 and above, or 12 if accompanied by a paying adult. Tickets for the ‘Freak Show’ start at £14.50 online, or attendees can opt for a combined ticket for both the ‘Freak Show’ and Darktober starting from £23.45.
Younger visitors can also enjoy the Pumpkin Outdoor Festival happening on select dates between October 5 and October 27. The festival features storytelling by Folksy Theatre, pumpkin picking, a Pumpkin Trail, Halloween-themed games, and more. Additionally, guests can explore Amazonia, an indoor tropical rainforest with exotic animals and plants, during a special nocturnal fright night on October 25, 26, and 31.
For a spooktacular Halloween experience, audiences can join a Halloween Party at Krazy Congo Soft Play on October 25, offering prizes and fun activities for children. As part of the Halloween festivities, a variety of sessions will cater to visitors with additional support needs on October 6, 12, and 20. This array of events promises fun and excitement for visitors of all ages throughout the Halloween season at M&D’s Scotland’s Theme Park.
