Ministers are facing a crucial decision regarding plans for a new trotting track on the historic Bannockburn battlefield, as a report commissioned by the National Trust for Scotland labels the proposals as “fundamentally flawed.” The report, compiled by landscape planning specialist Douglas Harman, criticises Stirling Council’s assessment of the plans for a horse-trotting track on the battlefield site.
The Scottish Government-appointed reporter is currently reviewing the case and accepting responses to the report until November 11.
