Fernhill Soccer School recently hosted a spooktacular Halloween party, with over 70 young people in attendance, donning an array of creative outfits from superheroes to ghosts. The party was a vibrant mix of costumes, as 47 youngsters participated in the party festivities, while 24 others opted for a football kickabout outside, showing there’s no age limit for Halloween fun. The event saw the young attendees indulging in a feast of hotdogs, pizzas, ice-cream, and sweets, ensuring everyone had a ghoulishly good time.
The party also included snacks and drinks for those engaged in the football games, keeping the energy levels high. Each participant received a goody bag at the end of the event, ensuring a memorable experience for all. The event wouldn’t have been possible without the dedication of Fernhill Soccer School’s volunteers, who commit their time every Sunday to the school and its events. Founder Davy O’Neil expressed his gratitude towards the volunteers for their continuous support.
Outside, activities were led by Jack O’Neil, Kevin Anderson, and goalkeeper coach Will, while inside, the entertainment was provided by coaches Stewart O’Neil and Steven Gibson. Additionally, the smooth running of the event was supported by Billy Hepburn, Lyndsay Adens, Leigh-Anne Steele, and local councillor Margaret Cowie, who ensured that the young participants were well-fed and had a great time.
