RNLI Rescues Two People and Dog Cut Off by Tide at Popular Scottish Beauty Spot
In a recent rescue operation at a popular beauty spot in Scotland, the RNLI Queensferry crew sprang into action to save two individuals and a dog who were stranded on rocks due to the rising tide. The incident occurred on the Firth of Forth, where the crew successfully transported all three casualties back to safety at Cramond Village on October 21.
This was just one of several incidents that the RNLI crew responded to in the past weeks. Two days after the first rescue, another call came in about two people facing difficulty near Cramond Causeway. Upon reaching the scene, the crew found the pair standing in water up to their knees but close to shore. They ensured the individuals safely made it back to land and checked for any medical attention needed.
On October 27, the crew received reports of a 27-foot yacht with two people onboard stuck on rocks near Inchcolm Island. Fortunately, the yacht was not taking on water, and the lifeboat assisted in refloating the vessel before escorting it to Port Edgar Marina. The crew highlighted their continuous efforts on social media, emphasizing the importance of coastal safety, especially as the days grow darker and colder.
