The M9 motorway near Stirling will undergo essential improvement works, leading to closures for three nights. BEAR Scotland will be carrying out these road resurfacing works on two separate sections of the M9.
The first section to be closed is the Junction 9 southbound off-slip near Plean. This closure is scheduled for three nights starting on Wednesday, November 13, from 7.30pm to 6am. A signed diversion route will guide traffic along the M9 and M876, adding approximately 15 minutes and 14.5 miles to travel times.
The second closure will be on the M9 southbound carriageway between Junction 9 and Junction 8, starting on Monday, November 18, between 7.30pm and 6am. The diversion route for this section will take traffic via the A91, A9, M876 Junction 2 eastbound on-slip, and onto the M876, adding around eight minutes and 2.1 miles to the journey.
Tommy Deans, BEAR Scotland’s South East Network Manager, emphasized the importance of these works for safety reasons and expressed gratitude for the public’s patience and understanding during the closures. Emergency vehicle access will be maintained throughout the works.
