A Lanarkshire organization has been recognized with the top award by the Ministry of Defence (MOD) for their exceptional support towards the Armed Forces Community. Prior to Remembrance Sunday, Strathaven-based QTS, a prominent railway contractor in the UK, was honoured with the Employer Recognition Scheme (ERS) Gold Award alongside North Lanarkshire Council. This prestigious award signifies businesses that actively employ and support members of the military, veterans, and their families.
QTS Group, known as one of the leading railway contractors in the UK, offers a variety of specialized services such as vegetation management, civil engineering, and geotechnical services. Jane McFadzean, the Armed Forces Champion at QTS, expressed their delight at receiving the Gold Award, highlighting their commitment over the past four years to offer support to ex-Forces personnel and their families by providing relevant work opportunities and sustainable employment within their industry.
