Hannah Fraser, a six-year-old from Motherwell, is taking the Irish dance world by storm, accumulating a series of impressive titles and trophies. Despite only starting Irish dancing a couple of years ago, the P3 pupil at Cathedral Primary School has shown remarkable talent and dedication. Under the guidance of her dance teacher Annmarie McLaughlin at Annie Mac Academy in Motherwell, Hannah has swiftly progressed to become a standout performer in competitions across the country.
Supported by her proud mum Natalie, Hannah’s natural flair for Irish dancing has shone through since her first title win as the all-Scotland champion for under-6s earlier this year. Natalie shared, “Hannah’s nanna got her a place in the dance school two years ago and she won her first title in January… Since then she’s scooped almost all the titles in Scotland, she’s picked up five other championships, and one runner-up.”
Not only has Hannah excelled in competitions in Scotland, but she also made a memorable appearance in Dublin, where she confidently danced next to a busker on Grafton Street, a performance that went viral on TikTok. Natalie reflected on Hannah’s journey, mentioning how she transitioned from hip hop to Irish dancing and found her true passion in the latter. Hannah’s undeniable talent and love for Irish dancing have been evident to her family and dance teacher, with Natalie expressing immense pride in her daughter’s achievements.
