Houston-based attorney, Tony Buzbee, revealed on Tuesday that he is representing a staggering 120 individuals who have made allegations of sexual misconduct against renowned hip-hop mogul, Sean “Diddy” Combs. These accusers are preparing to take legal action in the coming month, with Buzbee disclosing that the victims consist of 60 males and 60 females. Shockingly, 25 of these individuals were reportedly minors at the time of the alleged incidents.
During a press conference in Texas, Buzbee made this announcement. In response to the accusations, Combs’ attorney, Erica Wolff, stated firmly that the performer vehemently denies any claims of sexual abuse, including those involving minors, branding the allegations as false and defamatory. Wolff emphasised that Combs is looking forward to the opportunity to defend himself in court and prove his innocence based on factual evidence rather than speculation.
Combs, aged 54, has been remanded in custody at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn following his plea of not guilty to federal charges related to sex trafficking. It is alleged that Combs exploited his influence to coerce female victims into participating in drugged and orchestrated sexual encounters with male sex workers at events known as “Freak Offs.” Notably, Buzbee has previously represented women who accused NFL quarterback Deshaun Watson of sexual assault.
Several lawsuits have already been filed against Combs by other alleged victims, detailing accusations of sexual assault. The music icon has pleaded not guilty to charges of racketeering conspiracy and sex trafficking. His legal team maintains his innocence and pledges to vigorously challenge the accusations.
Throughout his career, Combs has carved a prominent role within the music industry, winning three Grammys and collaborating with iconic artists such as Notorious B.I.G., Mary J. Blige, Usher, Lil Kim, Faith Evans, and 112. Additionally, he founded Bad Boy Records in 1993, established the influential fashion line Sean John, introduced a vodka brand, and launched the Revolt TV network. Combs sold his stake in the latter enterprise earlier this year.
