President Joe Biden has given Ukraine the approval to utilize American-supplied long-range missiles to strike targets within Russian territory, marking a significant escalation in Washington’s support for Kyiv, US officials have disclosed. This decision grants Volodymyr Zelensky the ability to deploy Army Tactical Missile Systems (ATACMS) with a reach of nearly 190 miles, with the intended targets being Russian and North Korean forces in western Russia’s Kursk region.
The move by Biden comes as a response to recent Russian escalation, including the recruitment of North Korean troops to support its offensive.
