Pro-Palestinian protesters blockade Edinburgh factory over Israel arms links
Hundreds of pro-Palestinian activists have gathered outside the Leonardo factory in Edinburgh to demonstrate against the alleged shipment of arms to Israel. The campaigners argue that Leonardo UK produces components for F-35 fighter jets that are used by the Israeli military.
On Wednesday, over 100 local residents and workers from various parts of Scotland joined forces to create a blockade at the entrance of the factory. They are calling for the immediate termination of any business ties between Leonardo and Israel to show solidarity with the people of Palestine.

The UK government recently suspended a portion of arms export licences to Israel, citing concerns about potential violations of international humanitarian law during the conflict in Gaza. However, exemptions were made for certain licences related to components for F-35 fighter jets.
Leonardo UK has been approached for a comment regarding the protests and the allegations made by the demonstrators.
