A Scottish family is expressing gratitude towards the nurses and NHS staff who provided tremendous support following the tragic passing of their seven-year-old son, Ethan Hunter, who battled cancer. Ethan was diagnosed with an aggressive cancerous tumour on his right shoulder at the age of four in 2021 and later succumbed to the illness at seven years old. His parents, Kimberley and Fraser, shared their heartfelt appreciation for the care and kindness shown to them during Ethan’s battle with cancer.
Kimberley, 35, reflected on their challenging journey, mentioning the additional stress of losing her grandfather and welcoming twin brothers for Ethan shortly before his diagnosis. The gesture was initiated by support teacher Amanda Brand, who shared a close bond with Ethan. The tree will serve as a symbol for students to tie ribbons on in remembrance of Ethan on significant occasions, fostering a lasting connection to their beloved classmate.
