Organised by members of Stirling’s Ukrainian community, the free fundraising event aims to showcase traditional Ukrainian delicacies and customs to locals. Scheduled to take place at the Smith Museum on November 30th, the event promises a celebration of Christmas with Ukrainian food, handmade crafts, a lottery, and a warm Yuletide ambience. Visitors will have the chance to indulge in a Ukrainian Christmas treat called ‘kutya’ at no cost.
All the proceeds generated from the event will be directed towards supporting Ukraine, especially the hundreds of families in Stirling who were displaced by the conflict in their homeland in 2022. The organisers emphasise that the event aims to unite different cultures for a noble cause and extend support to the Ukrainian community striving to create a new home in Scotland.
