A man has been sentenced to jail for stabbing a 15-year-old boy with a machete in what was described as a “revenge” mission for his stepdaughter. Shaun Wilkinson attacked the teenager after a previous incident where the victim defended his sister from bullies outside their home in Liscard, Wirral. The boy’s sister had been the target of bullying at school, leading to a confrontation between the siblings and a group of girls outside their house.
The situation escalated when Wilkinson, armed with a machete, threatened the boy’s mother and then attacked the teenager as he tried to flee by jumping over a wheelie bin.
