A Motherwell teenage beauty queen has secured a spot in the final of Miss Teen Great Britain. Hannah Jamieson, aged 16, has been crowned Miss Teen North Lanarkshire and is set to represent the region in the grand final of Miss Teen Great Britain next October at The Globe Theatre in Blackpool. Hannah, a student at Braidhurst High, expressed her excitement about reaching the final, calling it a dream come true after facing tough competition in the semi-finals.
Hannah’s mother, Lesley, shared her pride in her daughter’s achievement, highlighting how participating in the pageant has boosted Hannah’s self-confidence. The upcoming grand final will see teenagers from all across Great Britain competing for the coveted title of Miss Teen Great Britain, along with a range of exciting prizes such as a cash prize, dresses from The Dress Studio, a sash, and crown.
In addition to the glamour of the event, Miss Teen Great Britain is also a platform to support the charity Together for Short Lives, which aids children’s hospices and their families. With the organisation having raised over £300,000 through the Miss Teen Great Britain competition, Hannah is gearing up to fundraise for the charity in the following months by participating in activities like charity runs within her community.
Lesley emphasised the importance of such initiatives in promoting community involvement and fundraising efforts among young people. As Hannah prepares for the final and engages in charity work, she embodies the spirit of youth empowerment and philanthropy, exemplifying the values of beauty pageants beyond just outward appearance.
