Dumfries and Galloway College team secures digital award
Dumfries and Galloway College is basking in the glory of winning Scotland’s Digital Learning Award for its Digiplan Project. The prestigious 2024 College Development Network Awards, held at the Radisson Blu in Glasgow, witnessed over 270 attendees, including Dumfries’ Amy Irons as the host, to honour the exceptional talent, innovation, and success of Scotland’s colleges, their staff, and students. The college’s Sustainability Champion initiative also received high commendation in the Sustainability Action Award shortlist.

The Digiplan Project not only offers candidates easy access but also encourages employer engagement in the qualification process. Initially implemented across work-based business admin, customer service, team leading and management delivery, the project is now being expanded to engineering and construction sectors. The initiative has notably contributed to increased commercial turnover for the college, with a growing demand for Digiplan participation from learners and employers.
