A tragic incident in Co Wexford, Ireland, has left a community in shock as an eight-year-old girl, Malika Noor Al Katib, was stabbed to death while trying to protect her mother. A man in his 30s was arrested in connection with Malika’s murder and is currently being questioned by authorities in Co Wexford. The New Ross Educate Together National School, where Malika was a student, has declared a critical incident and is providing support to students and staff with the help of health experts.
The police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the tragic incident and are appealing to anyone with information to come forward. The community and school are mourning the loss of Malika and are offering support to her family during this difficult time.
