CCTV image of man released after Edinburgh assault and robbery

Police in Edinburgh have released a CCTV image of a man they are seeking to speak to in connection with an assault and robbery that took place in the city earlier this year. The incident occurred at around 10.10pm on Monday, May 13, near the roundabout between Bingham Medway and Bingham Broadway in the Niddrie area.

The man in the CCTV image is described as approximately 5ft 9ins tall, aged between 25 and 30, with short curly hair and a slim build. He was wearing an orange t-shirt, black jogging bottoms, and black trainers at the time of the incident. Detective Constable Cameron MacIver has urged the man in the image or anyone who may recognise him to come forward with information.

Anyone who has information about the assault and robbery is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident number 4232 of May 13, 2024. Alternatively, information can be provided anonymously by calling Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
