A man from West Lothian has been apprehended in connection with multiple counts of vehicle theft and drug-related offences. The 31-year-old individual was arrested following a comprehensive investigation that led officers to execute warrants and conduct searches at two locations in Ramsay Place, Whitburn. During the operation, a number of vehicles, primarily of the Ford brand, were recovered, alongside controlled substances suspected to be cannabis with an approximate street value of £10,000. Additionally, a significant sum of cash was seized during the operation.
The suspect has been charged in relation to the theft and attempted theft of nine vehicles, as well as the supply of drugs in the West Lothian and North Lanarkshire regions. He is scheduled to appear at Livingston Sheriff Court on Wednesday, 11th December, with a report already submitted to the Procurator Fiscal. Detective Sergeant John Irvine of West Lothian CID emphasised the commitment of law enforcement to thoroughly investigate all reports of vehicle theft and urged the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities to the police.
