Jim Carrey Gives Very Frank 4-Word Reason Why He Keeps Returning To Sonic Films

Jim Carrey has shared what motivates him to keep returning to the Sonic film series. The renowned actor has virtually retired from acting but continues to portray the antagonist Dr. Robotnik in the Sonic franchise. During the premiere of the latest Sonic film, Jim was interviewed by the Associated Press about his decision to reprise his role in the popular movie series.

Explaining his choice to return to the Sonic universe, Jim humorously mentioned, “I came back to this universe because, first of all, I get to play a genius, which is a bit of a stretch.” However, he then candidly revealed, “You know, it’s just… I bought a lot of stuff and I need the money, frankly.”

In a previous statement from 2022, Jim had expressed his contentment with potentially leaving Hollywood behind. He remarked that unless presented with a script of utmost importance that signifies a significant message for viewers, he was inclined to take a break from acting. Jim further elaborated that he values his peaceful life, his artistic pursuits such as painting, and his spiritual well-being tremendously.
