Five charged over Liam Payne’s death including pal Roger Nores

Five individuals, including Liam Payne’s close friend Roger Nores, have been charged in relation to the tragic passing of the One Direction star. The charges include negligent homicide and drug supply offences following Liam’s fatal fall from a hotel balcony in Buenos Aires. Reports suggest that Nores, who left the hotel an hour before the incident, is under a country-exit ban.

According to Argentinian news outlet Infobae, two of the accused are currently in custody. The post-mortem examination revealed that Liam Payne, aged 31, succumbed to multiple injuries and haemorrhage from the fall. Roger Nores, who denied abandoning his friend, fondly remembered Liam as his ‘very dear friend’ amid the ongoing investigations.

Furthermore, Braian Nahuel Paiz, 24, and Ezequiel David Pereyra, 21, are facing charges for supplying drugs to Liam, an offence that carries a potential 15-year imprisonment penalty. Liam’s partner, Kate Cassidy, expressed her grief during her first Christmas without him, urging compassion and empathy towards those mourning during the festive season.

Cassidy’s heartfelt message on Instagram encouraged kindness and understanding, particularly for those dealing with grief. She attended Liam’s private funeral in Buckinghamshire alongside his family and former One Direction bandmates, honouring his memory during the holiday season.

The legal proceedings in Argentina surrounding Liam Payne’s death highlight the complexities and emotional toll of such tragic events, shedding light on the importance of seeking justice and closure for the bereaved. As the investigation continues, the impact of this loss resonates deeply with fans and loved ones, underscoring the need for accountability and healing in the aftermath of such devastating circumstances.
