In a heartbreaking incident, a mum and her four daughters have been discovered dead inside a hotel room, with suspicions pointing towards the woman’s son as the alleged perpetrator of the crime. The tragic event, thought to have been triggered by a heated argument, took place at a hotel in Lucknow, India on New Year’s Eve. Some of the victims displayed signs of injury. The victims have been identified as Asma and her daughters Alia (9), Aksa (16), Rahmeen (18), and Alshia (19). Following the occurrence, a 24-year-old male identified as Arshad was apprehended at the scene, while authorities continue to search for his father, Badar.
Arshad reportedly filmed a video after the incident, confessing to the act, claiming he committed the murders out of concern for his family’s safety. He alleged that their neighbours were eyeing their property in Agra and planned to sell his sisters in Hyderabad. Police have cordoned off the crime scene at the Hotel Sharanjit in the Naka area of the city and collected DNA samples, initiating a thorough investigation. Sources indicate that Arshad’s mother and sisters had been given alcohol before their deaths, as reported by the Mirror.
Deputy Commissioner of Police Raveena Tyagi stated, “The accused, identified as Arshad (24), allegedly killed five members of his own family. Following the gruesome act, the local police promptly apprehended the accused from the crime scene.” Joint Commissioner of Police Babloo Kumar mentioned ongoing inquiries with hotel staff nearby and further added, “Regarding the bodies recovered, some show signs of injuries – on the wrist of one, on the neck of another. Based on these marks, statements from witnesses and the post-mortem report, we are conducting a detailed investigation into the matter.”
