His brother, George, provided details about Christopher’s condition, explaining that he was paralysed with slurred speech and diagnosed with an inoperable tumour. The family is eager to have him transferred to a hospital in the UK for further treatment.
The travel insurance provider, Staysure, confirmed that an investigation is underway into the incident and assured the safe repatriation of Christopher. George expressed frustration over the delay and lack of information regarding Christopher’s return.
The Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) stated they are offering support to the British man currently hospitalized in Portugal. Staysure also issued a statement expressing concern for Mr. Taylor’s well-being and the ongoing review of the situation since it was brought to their attention.
