West Lothian vape and smoke shop, Zen Vape and Smoke Supplies, has been left reeling after a break-in on Hogmanay resulted in “thousands of pounds” worth of damage. The shop, located at the Houston Industrial Estate in Livingston, took to social media to share the unfortunate news with their customers.
The break-in, which occurred on New Year’s Eve, saw thieves stealing fireworks from the shop, causing significant damage including a smashed window and destroyed door handle, as depicted in an image shared online. The shop had recently shut down its Bathgate location in preparation for a move to the new premises in Livingston scheduled for January 8.
However, the break-in has now forced the business to delay its relocation and reopen the Bathgate store to cover the costs of repairs. In a plea to their customers, Zen Vape and Smoke Supplies appealed for support at their Bathgate store to help offset the financial impact of the damages.
A social media post from the business stated, “Unfortunately we’ve had a break in at our new property…We would really appreciate it if you guys could still shop with us as the repairs have added thousands of pounds on to the move to our new shop.”
