A man has been sentenced to jail following a chaotic incident at a pole dancing club where he seemingly “lost his head.” Lee Blowes was involved in a series of aggressive actions, including attacking a security guard and causing damage inside the club. The 37-year-old from Rainhill brandished an axe in a pub altercation before later being caught on camera arming himself with a glass at the Eccentric Gentleman’s Club in Southport.
During the hearing at Liverpool Crown Court, it was revealed that Blowes had a history of similar offences, including assaulting a police officer in 2018. The court was informed that his behaviour was influenced by alcohol and emotional distress over personal issues. Blowes admitted to multiple charges, including affray, possession of a bladed article, and criminal damage. He received a two-year prison sentence and a three-year restraining order.
Judge David Swinnerton sternly addressed Blowes during the sentencing, highlighting the seriousness of his actions and urging him to reflect on his behaviour.
