Amid uncertainty surrounding the future of the Homebase store in Dumfries, South Scotland MSP Colin Smyth has issued a plea for clarity. The DIY and garden chain entered administration in November, with some stores being sold to CDS, the parent company of The Range and Wilko. However, the Dumfries branch at Cuckoo Bridge was not included in the sale, and closing down sale signs have recently appeared, leaving the store’s future in question.
