**Sickening Attack on Raith Rovers Fan Caught on Camera**
A disturbing incident showcasing a Raith Rovers fan being punched and kicked in a violent attack has shocked the football community. The victim, 18-year-old Kieren Ross, was ambushed by a group of individuals following a match between Raith Rovers and Dunfermline Athletic in January last year.
The perpetrators of the attack, 21-year-old ex-soldier Mackenzie King and 18-year-old Callum Beautyman, were recently convicted at Dunfermline Sheriff Court. Despite being handed football banning orders, both individuals avoided jail time due to their age. King received 240 hours of unpaid work as part of a Community Payback Order, while Beautyman was given an eight-month Restriction of Liberty Order involving electronic tagging to enforce a night-time curfew.
The appalling footage captured during the attack shows Kieren being repeatedly kicked and punched by the mob of assailants. The video begins with Kieren lying on the ground, trying to protect himself as he is viciously assaulted. Profane language and racial slurs can be heard as the attackers continue their onslaught. Even after Kieren manages to get back on his feet, the aggression continues, culminating in a final kick to his back as he attempts to flee the scene.
The brutality of the attack sparked outrage among both Raith Rovers and Dunfermline Athletic, with players and officials condemning the violence. Raith Rovers goalkeeper Kevin Dabrowski expressed his shock and dismay at the incident, highlighting Kieren’s amiable personality and the unjustness of the assault.
