Yvonne, frustrated by the situation, openly expressed her plight by wearing t-shirts calling attention to her prolonged hospital stay.
Yvonne’s ordeal not only took a toll on her well-being but also affected her husband, Lennie, who faithfully visited her twice a day during her extended hospitalisation. The case underscores the inefficiencies and human costs associated with delayed discharge, indicating a broader systemic issue that needs urgent attention and reform.
