The A85 west of Crieff is scheduled for nearly two weeks of overnight closures for road resurfacing works. From Sunday, February 16 to Friday, February 28, sections of the road between Glen Turret and Quoig in both directions will be closed between 7 pm and 5 am. Diversions will be in place, with hourly amnesties at 9 pm, 10 pm, 11 pm, midnight, 1 am, 2 am, 3 am, and 4 am to allow queued vehicles to safely transit through the site in a 10 mph convoy.
Drivers will need to follow an alternate route via the A822, A823, A9, A820, and the A84, adding an extra 46.1 miles and approximately 38 minutes for those traveling between Crieff and Lochearnhead. No work will occur on Friday or Saturday nights, and the road will reopen each day at 5 am to minimize disruption. A speed limit of 30 mph will be enforced as vehicles will be passing over a temporary road surface during the works costing £637,000.
