A man in Broxburn, West Lothian, was brutally attacked by an armed gang in front of his partner and child. The 37-year-old victim was dragged from his home on Cardross Avenue by four men who proceeded to beat him with weapons, causing serious injuries. Police are now conducting an investigation into this shocking incident which occurred around 7.30pm on Monday, January 27.
Despite the violent attack, the man’s partner and child were thankfully unharmed physically but left traumatised by the harrowing experience. The attackers made their escape in a white or silver van towards Cardross Road after the assault. The victim was rushed to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh for treatment of his severe injuries.
Detective Sergeant Tony Gilhooley from Livingston CID condemned the perpetrators for their heartless actions, especially knowing a child was present during the attack. He urged anyone with information or CCTV footage from the area between 7pm and 7.45pm on the night of the incident to come forward to assist with the investigation.
