The West Lothian community is preparing to honour six-year-old Hope as she embarks on her final journey to her resting place. Hope, along with her father Mark Gordon, was tragically found dead on Harburn Road in West Calder on January 20. The family of Hope has expressed their gratitude for the outpouring of love and kindness from locals during this difficult time.
In a statement released by Hope’s family, they have announced that her cortege will depart from Co-op Funeralcare in Livingston at 12.45pm on Monday, February 10. They have invited community members to line the streets as a tribute to Hope as she makes her way to Adambrae Cemetery. Co-op Funeralcare has confirmed the details of Hope’s cortege, stating, “Hope will leave Co-op Funeralcare, Livingston at approximately 12.45pm on Monday, 10th February making her way to her final resting place. Hope’s family would like to show their appreciation to the community for all their love, support and kindness since their tragic loss and ask those that are able to line the streets leading to Adambrae Cemetery as Hope passes by in her horse-drawn carriage. The cortege will leave the funeral home, turn left and continue up through Dedridge. With all our love, Hope’s family.”
