“A tree came crashing down outside one of our accommodation buildings, pulling a pole across the A75 along with it, leaving the main power supply precariously dangling in the middle of the road,” Mrs. Bean recounted. She further shared, “We alerted the authorities about the live wires, but a subsequent lorry impact was inevitable.” The subsequent collision caused a significant disruption, with the telegraph pole careening into a resident’s car, shattering the windscreen in the process.
