Dobbies to Offer a Unique Mother’s Day Experience in Livingston Store
This upcoming Mother’s Day, Dobbies Garden Centres is set to provide a special hands-on experience at its Livingston store. The event will feature a luxurious Afternoon Tea paired with a seasonal planting workshop, offering a unique way to celebrate this special occasion.
The Mother’s Day Afternoon Tea and Planting Experience is scheduled to run from Friday, March 28 to Sunday, March 30 at the Livingston store. Attendees will have the opportunity to herald the arrival of spring by selecting new plants and flowers to craft an outdoor planter bursting with vibrant seasonal colours, perfect for enhancing patios, front doors, or balconies.
The 90-minute experience will commence with a relaxing luxury afternoon tea consisting of three tiers of sweet and savoury treats, along with unlimited tea and coffee refills. Guests can indulge in a selection of freshly made finger sandwiches, such as soft cheese and cucumber, egg mayonnaise with watercress, and ham, rocket, and red onion chutney.
Following the indulgence of afternoon tea, participants will be guided to the plant area within the Livingston store by Dobbies’ Green Team. Here, they will engage in a Q&A session and be led through the process of creating a beautiful seasonal planter to take home, valued at up to £40. Each guest will receive gloves, necessary tools, a Cotswold planter made from 100% recycled plastic in a choice of white or aqua, and an assortment of spring plants hand-picked by Dobbies’ Senior Buyer, Nigel Lawton.
Through this immersive experience, guests will gain valuable insights into planting tips and techniques, enabling them to create their own bespoke seasonal planter to enjoy for months to come.
