Police in Scotland have made a significant breakthrough in tackling organised crime by seizing a million-pound cocaine haul and arresting four suspects. The operation, carried out in various towns in West Lothian, resulted in the recovery of 21.5kg of cocaine with an estimated street value of £1,000,000, along with around £80,000 in cash. The raids were part of Operation Silhouette, an ongoing investigation led by Police Scotland’s Serious and Organised Crime Unit.
Properties in Fauldhouse, West Calder, Polbeth, and Livingston were targeted during the operation, leading to the apprehension of a 54-year-old woman and men aged 29, 35, and 54. They have been detained in connection with organised crime and drug-related offences. Detective Superintendent Steven Elliott commended the seizure, emphasizing the police’s commitment to disrupting drug supply chains and protecting communities from the harmful effects of illegal drugs.
