A local fish and chip shop in Stirling is set to support a domestic abuse charity in the area through a special fundraising initiative. Vincenzo’s Fish and Chips, located on Cowane Street, will be offering a reduced price menu on Monday and Tuesday (October 7-8), with all proceeds going to Stirling and District Women’s Aid. The menu will feature items such as a haddock supper for £3.70, regular chips for £1, steak pie supper for £2.60, single steak pie for £1.60, and quarter chicken supper for £3.50, among other special offers. Orders for these discounted items can be placed in-store only.
The idea for this fundraising event stemmed from another initiative – a raffle organised by Kyle Servera of Central Scotland Takeaway Review, to which Vincenzo has already contributed gift vouchers. Stirling and District Women’s Aid will receive all proceeds from the fish and chip shop’s fundraising efforts, after deducting the cost of food. Vincenzo has expressed a desire to make this fundraiser an annual event if possible, highlighting his personal connection to the cause. He shared, “I chose the association because they help the people who are closest to my heart. Women are sacred to me and children. I have six grandchildren – the eldest is three years old and the youngest is three months old.”
