Reports from Bosnian media indicate that houses in the village of Donja Jablanica were engulfed by rocks cascading from a nearby quarry.
Authorities have confirmed the tragic loss of at least 16 lives, including that of a baby, with a further 10 individuals still unaccounted for and dozens sustaining injuries. In response to the crisis, rescue teams have cordoned off Jablanica to outsiders as they continue their search efforts.
