The resulting low-pressure system is expected to bring disruptive rain and winds to various areas, including parts of the UK, starting from the middle of next week. While uncertainties remain about the storm’s exact track and timing, it is predicted that areas in England and Wales will be most affected. However, a southward track could potentially see disruptive conditions impacting France.
Hurricanes typically dissipate as temperatures drop below 26.5 degrees Celsius, but if Hurricane Kirk interacts with the jet stream, it could transform into an extratropical cyclone, posing additional challenges for the UK. The upcoming week may see the season’s first snowfall, with the possibility of snow in the Scottish mountains late next week. Showers in Scotland and Northern Ireland could transition to wintry conditions, moving southward by the weekend, though significant snowfall is not expected.
