The fate of Lancashire was sealed after they were bowled out for 177 against Worcestershire, falling just short of the 180 target. This marked their fourth relegation since their 2011 title win. Elsewhere, Warwickshire showed resilience against Nottinghamshire, making 143 for four in response to Nottinghamshire’s 487. South Africa’s Kyle Verreynne shone with an unbeaten 148, while Will Rhodes and Sam Hain contributed with the bat as well.
In Division Two, Yorkshire’s dominant performance against Northamptonshire secured their promotion back to Division One. Adam Lyth and James Wharton’s centuries paved the way for Yorkshire’s triumph as they sealed their place in the top flight.
In another match, Glamorgan ended their Division Two campaign on a high by defeating Gloucestershire comprehensively. With Sam Northeast and Chris Cooke leading the charge, Glamorgan declared at 381 for four before bundling out Gloucestershire for 189.
