The criticism does not stop there, as Arkansas Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders added fuel to the fire by stating, “My kids keep me humble. Unfortunately, Kamala Harris doesn’t have anything keeping her humble.” Harris, however, didn’t hold back in her retort, expressing her sympathy for Huckabee Sanders and highlighting the diverse experiences of women beyond aspiring for humility.
Speaking on the podcast hosted by Alex Cooper, Harris emphasised the importance of women supporting each other, dispelling the outdated notion that a woman’s worth is tied to traditional family structures. Notably, she acknowledged her blended family, containing both blood and chosen relatives, framing it as a blessing.
Critics of Vance’s remarks, including Jennifer Aniston, Second Gentleman Doug Emhoff’s ex-wife, and Taylor Swift, were quick to defend Harris. Moreover, it was pointed out that Harris is a stepmother to two children, further undermining the baseless nature of the ‘childless’ comments.
Ella Emhoff, Harris’ step-daughter, addressed the issue in a post, questioning how one could be deemed ‘childless’ when love and familial bonds exist.
