Luton winger Tahith Chong is recovering well after a concerning incident during his team’s recent match against Plymouth Argyle in the Championship. The player suffered a blow to the head, leading to a temporary collapse on the pitch. Medical staff promptly attended to Chong, who remained motionless for a period before being able to walk off the pitch unaided but visibly shaken.
The 24-year-old, who joined Luton from Birmingham in 2023, was substituted at half-time as a precaution, with Jacob Brown taking his place. Despite the unfortunate incident, Luton manager Rob Edwards provided a positive update on Chong’s condition following the match, stating, “He’s up and about and fine. So we’ll see the extent of it concussion-wise. He was a bit sore but he’s fine.”
