Hidden microphones worn by the stars of Strictly Come Dancing have revealed intriguing conversations taking place during their first live performance. While viewers at home can’t hear what the dancers say during their routines, a new clip released by Strictly provides audio insights into their communication.
One standout moment occurred during Jamie Borthwick and Michelle Tsiakkas’s quickstep, where the EastEnders star candidly remarked to his partner mid-lift, “I smell like garlic!” Chris McCausland added a touch of humour during his Cha Cha, exclaiming “Woooo!” during a knee-slide and mimicking an electric guitar with his partner’s legs.
During Toyah Willcox and Neil Jones’s tango, Jones audibly counted steps and directed Willcox’s attention to judge Craig Revel Horwood. Additionally, former Arsenal/England player Paul Merson chanted “England!” during his controversial “Vindaloo” dance. In a heartwarming moment, JB Gill and Amy Dowden shared a joyous embrace at the end of their Waltz.
Last week, all 15 couples performed live for the first time, setting the stage for the upcoming voting and elimination. JB Gill and Amy Dowden topped the leaderboard, impressing judges and audience members alike. Love Island star Tasha Ghouri received accolades for her Cha Cha performance, while Miranda actor Sarah Hadland earned high praise for her Quickstep to Dolly Parton’s “9 to 5”.
Looking ahead, Punam Krishan and Chris McCausland are set to showcase their dance skills this weekend. Punam will perform a Foxtrot to Shania Twain’s “Man!
