An Israeli airstrike on northeast Lebanon has resulted in the death of 11 individuals on Sunday morning, following the confirmation of the deaths of several commanders, including long-time leader Hassan Nasrallah, by the Lebanese militant group Hezbollah. The military expressed concerns about the potential for internal strife and sectarian violence amidst the ongoing conflict with Israel. Tragic reports indicate that an Israeli airstrike on a village in northeast Lebanon led to the destruction of a home and claimed the lives of 11 individuals.
Meanwhile, Jordan’s military confirmed that a Grad missile fired from Lebanon landed in an open area within its borders without causing any casualties or damage. The missile activity is suspected to be linked to Lebanon’s Hezbollah, which has intensified its rocket assaults following the death of Hassan Nasrallah in an airstrike. Concerns have been raised by Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sissi regarding the impact of Israeli military operations in Palestinian territories and Lebanon on the region, calling for urgent international intervention to achieve a comprehensive ceasefire.
El-Sissi’s communications with Lebanese officials and the dispatch of aid to Lebanon underscore the volatile situation in the Middle East.
