The couple, who made history as the first Black couple to win the ITV dating competition in July, have decided to part ways following their time together on the show.
Ngulube, a mental health nurse from Portsmouth, and Oyinsan, a semi-professional footballer from Dartford, took to Instagram to share the news of their split. Ngulube expressed that they had been trying to work things out since leaving the Love Island villa but unfortunately, things did not work out between them at this time. The couple’s followers had noticed that they were no longer following each other on social media, sparking speculation about their relationship status.
In her statement online, Ngulube acknowledged the disappointment their fans may feel, saying, “Your support for us hasn’t gone unnoticed and I will forever be grateful for it.” She credited their supporters for helping them reach the point they did in the competition. As of now, Oyinsan has not publicly commented on the split.
During their time on Love Island, Ngulube was initially coupled up with Ayo Odukoya before Oyinsan entered the show as a bombshell contestant and connected with her. The couple went on to win the £50,000 prize, beating out other couples in the final.
