Drivers in Monklands are urged to plan ahead for road closures and diversions in the area. Scottish Water will be conducting ironwork repairs in Airdrie, resulting in the closure of Cambridge Crescent on October 7. Meanwhile, Bruce Street in Plains will be shut down from October 14 for work by Scottish Power, with alternative routes available for drivers.
Carriageway resurfacing will lead to a closure at B804 Coltswood Road, Coatbridge, from October 14, between Greenhill Industrial Estate and West George Street. Lastly, Gartsherrie Road in Coatbridge will be closed on November 20 for a railway bridge examination. Motorists are advised to follow alternative routes during these closures.

Alternative routes for motorists will include Blair Road, the A89 Bank Street, the B753 Dundyvan Road, the A725 Coatbank Street, the A89 South Circular Road and the B803 Sunnyside Road.
