Eminem’s daughter, Hailie Jade Scott, has shared the joyous news that she is expecting her first child. The revelation came in a heartwarming moment captured in her father’s latest music video for the song “Temporary.” The 28-year-old surprised Eminem by presenting him with a Detroit Lions jersey that read “Grandpa” on the back, along with an ultrasound photo of her future child.
In the video, Eminem, whose real name is Marshall Bruce Mathers III, is seen in shock and processing the news as his daughter giggles beside him. This will mark the arrival of not only the 15-time Grammy winner’s first grandchild but also the first child for Hailie and her husband, Evan McClintock, whom she married in May.
Hailie and Evan had been in a happy relationship since 2016 and got engaged in February 2023. The couple exchanged vows in a “modestly sized” ceremony at the Greencrest Manor in Battle Creek, Michigan, with close friends and family in attendance, including Eminem’s collaborators like Dr. Dre, 50 Cent, and Jimmy Iovine.
Following the wedding, Hailie took to Instagram to express her gratitude for the love and support they received. She shared, “Evan and I are feeling so grateful for all of the family and friends that traveled to support us and be a part of this new chapter of our lives as husband and wife.”
Hailie, who hosts the Just A Little Shady podcast, met Evan while studying at Michigan State University in 2016. Meanwhile, Eminem’s daughter has been the inspiration for many of his songs over the years, with references to her in over two dozen of his lyrics. Eminem and his ex-wife, Kimberly Anne Scott, share Hailie, whom they welcomed in 1995. The couple had a tumultuous relationship, marrying and divorcing multiple times.
As the music icon prepares to embrace the role of grandfather, fans and well-wishers are looking forward to celebrating this new chapter in the Eminem family saga.
