The FBI is on the lookout for a bank robber who has been nicknamed the “Bare-Chested Bandit” due to his distinctive modus operandi of changing disguises for every heist. This elusive suspect has struck three times in the Chicago area since September, keeping authorities on their toes. What sets him apart is his knack for swapping outfits during public transportation rides, earning him his catchy moniker.
The most recent incident occurred when the suspect sauntered into a Citibank near Millennium Park in downtown Chicago on a Tuesday afternoon. Armed with a note and a menacing threat, he demanded money from a teller who complied, and he swiftly made his escape. Thankfully, no injuries were reported in the heist. The other two robberies took place in the vicinity, albeit at a different Citibank branch, as per Fox 32. Described as a white male aged between 30 to 40, standing at 5’6 to 5’7 with a medium build, the suspect remains at large.
During the latest robbery, he was clad in a dark plaid-patterned jacket, a white collared shirt, light-colored jeans, a black hat, mirrored sunglasses, and black-and-white athletic shoes. Additionally, he sports an armband tattoo on his upper right arm, adding to his distinctive appearance.
