Four people have been rushed to hospital following a collision involving two cars and two pedestrians near the Loch Ness Clansman Hotel. The incident occurred on the A82 road, situated between Inverness and Drumnadrochit, on Thursday, October 3. Police Scotland’s Road Policing officers are conducting an investigation into the serious crash, which took place around midday and involved a white Audi A3 and a blue Dacia Duster.
Emergency services swiftly responded to the scene, where a 37-year-old pedestrian was transported to Raigmore Hospital in Inverness with serious but stable injuries. Another pedestrian, a 61-year-old man, was also taken to the hospital for assessment. Additionally, the 67-year-old male driver of the Dacia Duster and his 66-year-old female passenger were also conveyed to the hospital for checks.
The road was temporarily closed to allow for investigations to be carried out and was reopened later in the evening at around 4.50 pm. Sergeant Calum MacAulay has urged anyone with information or potential dash cam footage of the incident to come forward to aid ongoing inquiries.
